Louise Cookman is one of the leading big band, jazz and swing era vocalists in the UK. Her rich, velvety voice, an instinctive musicality and inherent understanding of the great British and American Songbooks, and a warm and witty stage presence have all ensured that she has been a hit with audiences all over the UK and abroad for more than a decade.
Louise was the vocalist with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra for over five years, she was a regular guest singer on Big Band Special on BBC Radio 2 and over the past few years has had the pleasure of touring the UK as guest vocalist with the great Ken Peplowski and the BBC Big Band, as well as with The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, Michael Law's Piccadilly Dance Orchestra, along with appearances at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Cadogan Hall and many more concert and cabaret appearances with various bands throughout the UK and Europe. She was also the featured vocalist on “Len Goodman’s Dancing Feet” and “Len Goodman’s Dance Band Days”, both for BBC4 television.
